The Vibrometer

Added to the collection November 1, 1997, this device is somewhat of a mystery to the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices. A retired physician in Jamestown, ND gave this to Mr. Bob Kenisson in 1980.

The Vibrometer (3K)

This Vibrometer was used for applying "Dr. Garey's System of Massage by Vibratory Motion" according to a silver plate attached to the device. It appears that a motor was once powered a small wheel containing tacks which "plucked" the strings of the banjo-like instrument. The wheel was mounted within the chrome casing shown below.
